Cough Syrup - Young the Giant (Cover by Thomas Tahani!)

Death.

I saw it in his face, his movement, his lack of appetite. That night he tried to fall asleep, but he kept writhing because his body was so uncomfortable from his sickness. He couldn’t say anything, so he just kept trying to find a comfortable spot to sleep in. In the morning, the weather was beautiful, so I took him to bask in the sun for a while. His eyes were closed the whole time. I took him back, warmed his water, and tried to soak him, but he didn’t want to. So I tried to put him back in a dry spot, but he began writhing again. Twitching and twisting and suddenly, his eyes opened and twitched. Then everything stopped and I knew…he was gone

the plants name is called “makahiya” and hiya in tagalog means “shy”.
whenever you touch the plants leaves, they immediately fold up together looking as if its really shy hence the name.

I used to play with these all the time in Ghana

In Chinese, it’s called the “shy grass”. A very cute plant! <3

Heehee I has.
